Abstract: This article focuses on the phenomenon of pseudo-patriotism, which usually has its origin in unprofessionalism and/or extreme ideological engagement. Comparisons are made between the notions of “Aryan physics” published in Hitler’s SS press organ, Das Schwarze Korps, and those of “special Russian science” advertised by “thinkers” from Tsargrad. The metaphysical speculations of the Tsargradians about the army, science, and technology are contrasted with professional points of view on the relevant subjects; in particular, the opinions of professional military officers. The article defends the necessity of a professional-scientific approach to all spheres of human life, implying, in particular, the inevitability of incorporation into the world system of specialized communication and incompatibility with positions of any form of isolationism.
