Issue #40

MARCH, 2023

IN BRIEF

From the Editor

Abstract: This issue is dedicated to our colleague and friend Ruben Grantovich Apressyan, declared a foreign agent by the Ministry of Justice in December 2022. The editorial discusses the campaign against the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences launched by some news agencies, and attempts to impose a single ideology at the expense of free thought. It is noted that thought is associated not with the expectation of punishment, but with joy, and that in a crisis era, a different thought is needed, which Apressyan expresses as “moral change”.
