Abstract: An open letter by Finnish philosopher Vesa Oittinen, in which he describes the shift in public opinion in Finland in connection with recent events. The author analyzes how political decisions and the foreign policy situation affect the perception of Russia in Finnish society, and expresses concern about growing confrontation and its possible counterproductive consequences.
