Abstract: When Rene Descartes announced that the world consists of two types of material, that is, thinking substance and expanded substance, and when Isaac Newton stated that «God exists at the beginning of matter in solid, impenetrable and moving particles … such solid that they never wear out or break», Western science essentially became a form of materialism. Thus, the classical world became a segregating world in which all aspects of life were affected: while the physical sciences had nothing to do with ethics, philosophy with art, and the order of the universe had nothing to do with the intangible notion regarding the existence of God. In contrast to such «materialistic» ideas, the article substantiates the position that the basis of the material world is intangible, elementary particles have reasonable properties, and potentiality exists as primary reality, determining the quantum perspective of evolution and the connection of human consciousness with cosmic potential.
