Abstract: The article presents a translation of the article by Ph. D., Doctor of Theology at the University of Graz (Austria), Professor of Clinical Psychology and Paranormology at the Academy of Alfonsian, Pontifical Luteran University in Rome, founder and publisher of the Journal of Border Science, Andreas Resch. The article has the goal of expanding and deepening the Christian image of the world and man, ideas about life and death in the history of philosophy, using knowledge gained from an interdisciplinary dialogue on the border of science and faith, physicality, mind and spirit, the relationship between brain processes and consciousness, based on the views of researchers on brain physiology, neurophilosophy, evolutionary theory, as well as an understanding of life and death in various world religions. The author of the article argues that the human mind is also an intangible, informative component, and the consciousness does not have a clear boundary, but goes into the subconscious, and therefore something indefinite should be postulated that continues our spiritual nature, forming the intangible side of the structures of the physical world that can be found in physics and biological events — bios, psyche and pneuma (from the Greek πνεῦμα —«breath; breath; spirit»), forming the comprehensive contours of Being.
