Abstract: Philosophical aspect of fantasy and science fiction is rarely considered in the light of a simple fact that, as a rule, there is no philosophy within fictional worlds and no philosophers among fictional characters. If there is a thought to be found there, it’s practical and empirical — or magical and potent of causing direct changes to reality; the Truth is known, but never guessed or argued over. Why is it that way with fantasy, and does philosophy have anything to do with it — or it just stays outside?
