Apophatic philosophy of time (On the present time of subject and object)

Abstract: The concept of time is not defined in the work and is presented figuratively in the form of an arrow from the past to the future. Along with this time, called global, the concept of creative time of the project from the future to the past is introduced, also figuratively in the form of an arrow, called local. Local time arises in the creativity of the subject, whose prototype is Descartes’ res cogitans. The subject differs from the object by possessing language, but the work denies the identity of language and thinking. To distinguish the times of the object (res extensa) and the subject (res cogitans), different orientations of their time arrows are adopted – horizontal for the object and vertical for the subject. As a result of the analysis of Descartes’ statement “I think, therefore I am”, as well as the works of Brentano, Lesniewski and Lukasiewicz, a conclusion is drawn about the unattainability of the moment of the present time.
