Review of W. Heisenberg’s “Reality and its Order”

Abstract: This review aims to outline the main problems of the philosophical work of W. Heisenberg under the title “Order of reality”. The author touches upon the history of the creation of the essay during the Second World War and the conditions in which the scientist’s worldview developed. Also in the review, there is a transcript of the basic concepts of Heisenberg’s philosophy – “reality”, “order”, “interconnection” – and the need for interpreting his views from the point of view of not only modern science, but also the ancient Greek philosophy (Plato, Aristotle) is deduced. The author states a connection between one of the main categories of Aristotelian metaphysics – “the possible” – and the perception of quantum processes. It has been suggested what Heisenberg’s philosophy could be in an ontological manner.
